Can you guess the Music?

So I thought of a good game to play. You cue up these four artists: Chris Daughtry, Fuel, Nickelback, and Creed. One person plays a song from one of the four groups and the other person tries to guess who the artist is. I did this for ten songs and the 'contestant' was only able to guess correctly once. These groups sound so alike it is ridiculous. Try it yourself if you have access to songs by these four groups.

So the top 150 movies had a decent reception, but one movie seemed to be a unanimous decision that I will add to my list. American History X is now in the Top 150.

In other music related news I was watching the White Rapper show on VH1 hosted by MC Serch of 3rd Base and a special guest was the new group 'La Coka Nostra'. This group is comprised of Everlast, Danny Boy, and Ill Bill. Two of the three were from House of Pain. I was very surprised at how old Everlast looked. See for yourself here.
Then I thought well...House of Pain came out in 1992....which was fifteen years ago. Which then led me to think I have had the same email and AOL IM for 15 years. I guess I am going to be some 60 year old dude with houseopayn as my email and IM name and I am OK with that.

If Tori Amos was upbeat and happy....

...she would be Regina Spektor. I really like her new album, especially the song 'Fidelity'. Very catchy song that just keeps playing in my head.Check out a few of her songs here on her myspace page. I also think Better is a great track. I think I just like quirky indie singer-songwriters more and more.

In other music related news, during Saint Patrick's week this year, I am going to see the Dropkick Murphys on March 13 and then The Pogues on March 16. Well anyway give Regina Spektor a listen.
